Material Narrative
Most of the chewing gum on the market are based on synthetic polymers derived from petroleum. Composits such as these do not degrade and tend to litter the urban environment in thousands.
The chewing gum base is water-insoluble and repellend. Elastomers are utilized to maximize the gums elasticity. Even after a long period of time being exposure to the elements, the gum base can be restored to its elastic state.
